Common mistakes to avoid

  • Only running long, slow miles — basketball is repeat sprints; train short, hard, then recover.
  • Skipping the core — a weak core leaks power and breaks your form down when you tire.
  • Frantic, sloppy footwork — quick feet are built with clean reps, not panicked ones.
  • No recovery — the gains come between hard efforts; don't junk every rep at half speed.
